My role as an elder is to pray, lead, serve, shepherd, and be hospitable.

When and how did the Lord save you?
I thought I was a Christian when I was young, but God used 2 Corinthians 5:17 to convict my heart that my life was not changing. I was frustrated and broken from living a life full of sin and I hit rock bottom. What I knew in my mind I finally believed in the depths of my heart at age 15: that Jesus died for me on the cross, taking the punishment for all of my sins upon Himself, and if I believed I would be saved.

When did you come to TVC and what brought you here?
We joined TVC in 2014 after we moved to the area from Missouri. I had just left the Army and was starting a new career in business. We started looking for a home and a church in DFW at the same time, and God called us to TVC first!

If you had to give a TED Talk, what subject would you choose to speak on, and why?
Growing outside of the parameters that have been given to you in life, especially relationally. God has uniquely wired me to do this, and I’ve seen the fruit from it in my own life. He has used new relationships in my life to challenge me, believe in me, give me opportunity, grow me, and so much more.

If you were to have your childhood dream job, what would your job be?
