Elementary Ministry Assistant

TVC Responsibilities:
I serve as the primary internal and external contact for the Elementary Ministry. I plan and execute Elementary Ministry events. I oversee preparing supplies and resources for weekend services. I oversee the Elementary weekend service check-in team and welcome process as well as weekend scheduling and hospitality for volunteers. I manage and maintain the Elementary Ministry physical spaces.

When and how did the Lord save you?
When I was 7 years old, in a Sunday evening kids’ service at my church, I responded to an altar call given by our Children’s Minister. My eyes were opened. I was suddenly very aware that I was a sinner in need of a Savior.

When did you come to TVC and what brought you here?
After a move from out-of-state, my family visited The Village in Summer 2017 and were excited to join the local body of believers in Flower Mound, Texas.

If you had to give a TED Talk, what subject would you choose to speak on, and why?
Children’s literature and the importance of reading aloud to children from a very young age. Reading aloud developmentally appropriate books for each age & stage is extremely beneficial to shape a child’s imagination, vocabulary, and even sense of fun and well-being.

If you were to have your childhood dream job, what would your job be?
I would be Cinderella!

Which fictional character would you be friends with in real life, and why?
I would probably be friends with Leslie Knope from Parks and Recreation. She is such a great friend and is always ready for the next adventure. Also, I’ve always thought it would be fun to celebrate with her, as she celebrates everything and everyone so well.

Favorite Hobby:
I love to bake and shop for fun!
