Hollie's Story

Before she was a believer, God gave Hollie the love of art, the Renaissance, and put her in Florence, knowing He’d send her back twenty years later having produced in her the endurance needed to survive such a spiritual wasteland - for His glory and her joy. Hollie works to engage Italians with the Gospel through various art forms and desires to see a culture and soul care movement in her area. She also works to help others use their own creativity to share the truth about Jesus and is working to translate material into Italian that can be used towards healing and wholeness.

Florence, Italy

Cultural catholicism has created a land with hearts hardened more than the Bible Belt of the American south by several hundred years and therefore, this work is long, hard, and often disappointing. However, with Italian culture in decline, the rise of atheism and secularism, so many are in search of hope. Hollie says: " The gift of sharing my life with them so they can see for themselves the God of the Bible is not dead, made of tradition, or some force telling you to simply "be good" but welcomes you in your struggle, is an incredible privilege."
